After 13 years of avoiding the dentist, I decided it was time to bite the bullet. Michael and his team were great. Kelsey calmed my nerves and reassured me it would be fine, and it was! I felt no pain, and after 13 years of wear and tear I had a full clean, needed one filling and I was in and out in about 45mins. I will now be back every year!

I am writing to publicly thank Dr Michael Bahjejian for the assistance he gave me over the Christmas break.
My wife and I were spending Christmas in Hamilton when I developed severe toothache. It got so bad that I finally phoned the emergency dental number. It was a public holiday, but Dr Bahjejian agreed to see me within a couple of hours and I had what I can only describe as the best dental experience I have ever had!
Treatment involved the removal of an infected wisdom tooth. It was diagnosed and painlessly extracted in super quick time. As it was the evening on a public holiday, I was nervously expecting a large bill, but it turned out to be extremely reasonable.
Even more surprising was the fact that I subsequently experienced absolutely no pain or discomfort and was able to enjoy the remainder of my Christmas holiday. It is times like this that makes me appreciate the medical facilities and professional expertise available to us in New Zealand.

I have no hesitation in recommending Collingwood Dental Care/New Smile. All the staff, from Kelsey - Practice Manager, to Michael - my favourite dentist - are really lovely. The practice is truly like a 'family' practice, where I always feel welcomed, acknowledged as an individual, and valued as a patient.
I'm of the generation of New Zealanders who grew up with the terrifying spectre of the Murder House. Dental Care, after a childhood spent under the eye of the witches in the Murder House, was a very low priority for me. I was afraid of the people who inflict the pain. Both pain relief and chairside manner are great. The music is relaxing too.
There is no relief from the pain of parting with cash for dental care, but I have been able to make an arrangement for an automatic payment for my dental care which makes it more manageable.

that is required. This helps me feel that I am getting the best treatment available for me. It also helps to reassure the old nerves, knowing what is going to happen and Michael is always sensitive to this.
Michael also provides a repayment plan when required, as the last thing you need is a big bill at the end of your consultation. This type of service is not that common anymore and being a family man it sure helps the budget.
Lastly I feel that the clinic is always available if I have an urgent need. They always try to get
you seen to as soon as possible, minimising any unpleasant experiences.
