Dr Michael - Dentist
Dr Michael is the owner of New Smile and is proud to lead such a dedicated professional team. He graduated in Paris in 1983, after eleven years of practice in France.
Dr Michael has a passion for History and Current Affairs.
In 1994, Dr Michael and his wife Sylvie decided to move to New Zealand. Dr Michael passed the New Zealand Registration Examination in 1998 and started practicing in NZ in 1999 with a strong desire of providing gentle treatment to his patients. Dr Michael is a member of the New Zealand Dental Association, Waikato - Bay of Plenty Branch.
Dr Geethu - Dentist
Dr Geethu joined our team in April 2024. Dr Geethu is a caring and compassionate dentist dedicated to providing a gentle and comforting experience for each patient. She believes in personalized care that prioritizes your unique needs and concerns. From routine dental care to advanced treatments, Dr Geethu provides a comprehensive range of services to help you achieve optimal oral health, inculding Trioclear and Invisalign treatments. She has a special interest in cosmetic dentistry, helping patients achieve beautiful and confident smiles.
Dr Geethu graduated with top honors in her BDS degree from MES Dental College and Hospital (University of Calicut), India. After gaining a strong foundation in clinical experience, she relocated to New Zealand and successfully completed her Australian Dental Council registration exams, demonstrating her expertise in dentistry. She further pursued her post-graduation in Health Management, expanding her knowledge and skills in patient care.
In her free time, Dr Geethu enjoys cooking and spending quality time with her loved ones at home. She also loves travelling and exploring new places. She believes that a healthy work-life balance is essential for providing the best possible care to her patients.
Amanda - Practice Manager
Amanda joins New Smile as Practice Manager January 2026.
Amanda’s background in Management, Customer Service, Personal Developement Coaching and Health and Wellbeing.
Amanda has strong passions in crafting, personal development mentoring, gardening, cooking, camping and has a home business of 11 years in Global Cosmetics and Skincare.
Amanda is the proud mother of 4 children and 1 step child.
Amanda and her fiancee Maitland love fishing, walks on beach looking for driftwood and seashells and spending quality time with each other.
Supawadee - Dental Assistant
She is married to Jeremy and they have a daughter, Miranda. Supawadee loves cooking and eating Thai food.
Sien - Dental Assistant
Sien joined our team in March 2023 and has a keen interest in dentistry. Sien is also a qualified nail technician and in her free time Sien enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 sons. Sien is from Cambodia and was born in Thailand.
